@Neighbor Jane I wondered whether the update had affected it. Glad the easier tasks are back for you. I haven’t updated yet - tend to leave until the end of the week.
That’s a radical thought - consider the needs of your customers! Back to the old days ? I might be tempted to spend actual money again . . . . 💰
@Neighbor Jane we’re still getting reduced numbers for town tasks (excluding mining & planes). But the time allowed for the tasks has also reduced - especially noticeable on growing tasks - no longer allows time to do the crop twice. Eg I did a grow mint task - grow time of 2 3/4 hrs - time allowed for task was 3 1/2 hrs.
@Neighbor Jane yes, and it’s not just the 135 tasks. It seems that everything for town based tasks is affected except plane tasks, sending boats and using mining tools.
Personally I’m pleased as it gives a chance to do well with town tasks - the reduced requirement means the task is quicker. So for once I’ve been able to have ‘fun’ collecting white feathers, making boots and duvets and even doing a train task 🚂. It’s almost like the ‘old days of regatta’. 🤭
@Neighbor Jane I used to buy the gold pass - back when it was the professor’s experiments. But they were special events - not constant as the ‘event’ is now - and they were town based activities. I object to a town game focussing so much on merge & match rather than the town. I didn’t mind quite so much when the mini games really were mini - 3 to 4 days - and lots of variety in the different games.
So I stopped spending any money on township and moved my limited spending to my zoo2 game - which is focussed on the animals as it should be. There would need to be some monumental changes to township for me to spend any real money on it again.
I’m also in the UK but mine showed as 200 tc (not that I got there!). Playrix - where’s the “fair play” in all this!
@Tre Ward I’ve also sent you a friend request - town is Giraffic Park Village. 😊🦒
My understanding is that there is a mobile server & a ‘PC’ server and you can’t mix the two.
@Cre8tive Town - I always knew I wanted to run my own co-op from the start. Happy to answer any queries you might have but in the meantime, a couple of suggestions for you.
Agree a basic level of number of tasks / points per tasks for regatta. That allows all ‘sailors’ to know what is expected - and as you go up the league levels, you may need to adjust it.
Noted that you have an open co-op - people will be able to join you without you doing anything. We have a ‘by request’ co-op - people can request to join but we can view their town layout & town hall statistics to see if they are a good fit for our co-op. Then accept / reject them as appropriate.
Final thought - December 2022 we accepted all the members of another co-op who were looking for more activity. So that’s always another option for you.
Enjoy!
@Cre8tive Town I’ve sent you a friend invite - Giraffic Park Village. We have an active co-op in gold league with regular regatta sailors - and often finish in the top 3. Normal regatta requirements are a minimum of 10 tasks per day at 115 points or more per task. We don’t expect people to pay tc for tasks. We do expect regular helps & chat as part of co-op life. If this sounds like you, then feel free to let me know if you are interested in joining us. 😊🦒
@Neighbor Jane think it’s an anomaly for you - there are no duplicates showing to me.
@Neighbor Jane mine time is about the depth down the mine you go - ore collection is for ruler of the mine and that’s when double ore counts. (Not that I would ever consider you to be senile - being as I’m a potty Giraffe.)
@Neighbor Jane @PolarTown - I had a x2 today - definitely doubled things - completed factory task on it - game task it appears to need you to finish the puzzle level in order to count double - not a gold pass player either.
@PolarTown yes, the pic is still showing - but couldn’t tell you whether the description for it is the same.
@Neighbor Jane sorry - can’t help as I don’t do facebook.
@Tineke NL I couldn’t find them either - I’m on mobile (ipad) so it may be that Glass Hal Full co-op play on desktop - as the 2 types of device are on different servers.
If you’re looking for a co-op on mobile try Freudesheim - co-op tag #FJDDY5.
Personally I think the only way we’ll get any of the original mini games back (plus refocussing on town activities rather than mini games for event points) is when people stop playing / paying for match-3 / merge etc. As long as people are prepared to pay out real money, playrix won’t change. . . . at least, not for our benefit.
@Wendy Koffijberg factory upgrades are done with ingots - but tcash can be used to fill in for missing ingots. At each upgrade you can choose what to upgrade - coins & xp are available at each level but factory shelves & reduction of time are only available at certain levels. @Karinsplace - your guess is as good as mine. Playrix change the rules / times to suit themselves. Your leader could set a convenient time for herself to monitor the regatta activity of sailors (eg Sunday morning or evening) - even if it’s not the end of the regatta, as long as all members are aware that is the key time, then that should show how active each person is.
I’m the leader for our co-op and sometimes it can be challenging dealing with inactive players. But it should be clear that it is the leader’s place (or designated co-leaders) to deal with such situations. I tend to use the ‘helps’ on the co-op board as my key to activity, rather than the regatta - as it shows activity of all members, not just those playing regatta.
@Karinsplace you can get the basic weekly stats from the ‘season’ tab for regatta. Click on the ‘3 dash’ box on the top left and it will give the info. At the top of the page will be arrows - Click on the right arrow to scroll through each week.
But if you want the ‘statistics’ per regatta participant, then someone else will need to get those for your co-op leader.
It should be feasible to do it without facebook. My husband changed from android tablet to ipad and kept his town without linking to facebook. Make sure you keep a note of your friendship code as this will identify your town.
