@Neighbor Jane I’ve stopped looking at the golden pass stuff - just doesn’t seem worth the effort as I refuse to play the ‘adventure’ or match-3.

Yes, it's weird - your name came up with @ but @bingo983 hasn’t. @PolarTown does. I had a red line to show a typing error but it wouldn’t accept the auto change to it.

@bingo983. The tasks it refers to are specific tasks for the golden ticket, not the regatta tasks. I’ve stopped even looking at the golden ticket event as it is no longer focussed on the town but would think that is still the same.

@LaLa2025 @Catston Village @Josef D. Welcome to the wiki. It’s a good place to share thoughts, ideas & complaints - but we’re all just players like you. We can’t change the game. I suggest that you contact playrix support through the game and put your complaints to them in the strongest (polite) terms. As I have done. If it helps, have taken a print of my message to them for you. Sorry it’s a little small but hope it helps.

@Neighbor Jane For us, it previously started at 1 pm (British summer time, ending at 9 am on Monday. But it finished at 7 am this Monday and started at 10 am. Talk about moving the goalposts!

@Ataylor81 there is no way to opt out of regatta - other than not taking any regatta tasks.

@MaggieAkaEiggam @Neighbor Jane I also don’t do social media but can’t say that a parking game gets me excited - although anything HAS to be better than constant match-3 tedium (not that I’m playing that at all now).

@Neighbor Jane the more playrix pushed for match-3 game, the less I played it. The last 3 ‘adventure’ stories, I refused to even start - despite the fact that it takes you into it without choice on the start of a new ‘adventure’. I then shut down, reboot & avoid playing it completely. Spending very little time in town now, much prefer my zoo2 game - no ‘gaming’ pressure, just animal focussed.

@Neighbor Jane too many big buttons filling the screen, no logical information. I can see people not helping because it’s not a simple click. Yes, no compensation for rooms being removed (& no notification).

Bear has been having a clear-up - changed his name to Bearleehere! Says it all. Not sure that either of us will be playing for much longer with the way playrix are ruining the game. We never started in order to play “match-3-ship”.

It all looks like ‘toytown’ to me. Other changes - if you visit someone, their profile picture has their name & co-op name with it - not very well as they haven’t allowed sufficient space for any long names (ok if you’re called Sid). If you click on one of your co-op members via the co-op tab in the friends box, it doesn’t take you straight to their town (annoying). Town hall no longer has all the ‘rooms’ that we have decorated over the years. No notification, no explanation . . . . . .

@PolarTown since the focus on match-3 rather than town, I haven’t even been looking at what the gold pass event offers on the basis that township do not deserve my hard earned cash. But for you, I looked . . . . still priced at £4.99 (uk).

@Neighbor Jane we had a 2 week regatta back in October (curse of 7 seas). There’s no rhyme or reason to it, just playrix messing around with things as per usual. Bear & I are both fed up - he’s stopping regatta completely & I’m of a similar mind. It’s no fun anymore.

I guess it depends on your focus. I’ve been playing zoo2 animal park for about 4 years now, started it after township. It is zoo-focussed for all its aspects. I love all the different animals and learning about new species. There is a club (co-op) and the weekly contests involve breeding animals to donate. Special events ( eg Christmas, Easter etc. ) are special decorations to buy which give ‘tokens’ to buy items - unique animals are always included. Bear (husband) has started playing this year - and has been impressed by the style and focus. In-game friends are limited to 16 & a daily help to earn rewards. The one ‘downside’ is the special currency - diamonds. A lot of items cost diamonds - so if you are not willing to spend real money, it can take a long time to progress. But, if you do buy diamonds with real money, you can get special animals & items in the deal. All in all, I recommend it. (My downside is in recommending to you, I don’t get the bonus for recommending as that involves an email.😊)

@PanamaDevil do you mean that the entire zoo is going to disappear? That’s disgraceful as it’s the only part of the game that retains its original character.

I stopped buying gold pass a long time ago & now don’t even bother opening the gold pass event. Same with the ‘adventure’ game - what’s the point? Although Bear showed me the sign that you can win . . . . truly a ‘Town-Ship’.

As a co-op we do play regatta - but no longer bothered about winning . . . the demise of yacht store decorations means nothing to get excited about. And how can playrix say there’s a ‘theme’ to the regatta . . . . . 🤷‍♀️ talk about a hidden agenda!

@PolarTown I did the uninstall / reinstall - and there’s a place in the settings to put your zoo id, which reloaded my zoo. But the original problem remains. I’ve gone back to support - they’ve referred to developers but I’m not expecting a quick response. Apparently Monday is a bank holiday . . . . 🙃

@Neighbor Jane zoo2 has it’s own in-game currency (like tc) which I treat myself to on occasion as it includes rare animal(s) as part of the package. Bear gave me some money to use for an additional set but for some reason it now won’t work. I’ve been via the banking & verified all the details, so I’m at a loss now.

@MaggieAkaEiggam not a user of social media and after too many issues, Bear deleted his facebook account. So it looks like it’s “Back to my cave!”

@MaggieAkaEiggam well I tried it and heaved a huge sigh of relief when I retrieved my zoo. But the actual problem remained so it’s back to support (grrrrr!).

@Neighbor Jane there is a fandom site but it’s not very active. Had one of our club members come up with a suggestion so that’s tomorrow’s task.

Maybe I should just turn into a luddite hermit and hibernate in a cave somewhere . . . . 🫥
