The instant task refresh from Golden Tickets always referred to the town tasks, match-3 tasks and/or expedition tasks. It's never for regatta tasks. Since July 2024 when the new regatta system was put in, the first dumped task incurs a 10 min delay, second - 20mins, with 10 extra minute increments for each subsequent dumped tasks until it maxes out at 2hrs. At that 2hr point you'll have to pay 9 T-cash to get the next task. 💰💰💰

I have no idea about the @ thing. It's a fandom.com platform issue.

PC/Windows, Mac/iDevices, and Android devices are three separate blocks of players. Since they connect to different servers you may not be able to see or add others as friends. You also have a limit in terms of how many friends you can have. One workaround is to add them as friends in Facebook, and connect your game to FB.

Totally agreed! The moment I see I'm up against 3+ people, my baby town stops playing. There's no way to get ahead.

In a way, this causes Playrix to make less money since my baby town isn't spending any T-cash.

@Neighbor Jane @Oibboddl @Taneets Sadly the inevitable finally arrived. I've been writing about Town Pass (or Fashion Pass this time around). Before this season adventure, only test groups have them. Now it seems like everyone gets it now.

@Neighbor Jane What progress are you referring to? The thing you circled has a green progress ring on the outside. It fills up as you "Beat Match-3 Level". (I take that means you need to complete a level to collect the keys.)

And to answer your question about Golden Tickets/Town Pass: I do it simply because I'm the admin here, and I still write wiki pages. Need to grab the info otherwise I can't see the stuff.

Yeah... That's been a thing since forever. (At least since I join in 2022).

I'm surprised that you manage to go to the end without completing Match-3 games. Eventually you'll run into clearing obstacles tasks which require energy points. Not impossible, but very difficult.

Passes are the new Golden Tickets?

As some of you may have noticed, Town Passes (or all the season adventure variants) have been a thing for a while. No more farm/corp/mining daily tasks. No more expedition-related tasks. Everything is tied to Match-3 games. Perks, skins, outfits, everything.

When I was reading the latest (v25.0.0) updates, Playrix kinda made it sound like it's going to be permanently applied to all starting tomorrow with the Musical Festival Event.

Here's my ask to you all: when the new season adventure loads in a few hours, let me know here if you still see the old style of "Golden Tickets" or the new "Symphony Pass" as it's named this time around. Are they the same price as before?

@Neighbor Jane Once in a while Regattas are 2 weeks. Looking back, seasonal ones are 2 weeks (Halloween last year, Chinese New Year just ended) where everything else has been 4 weeks.

To those who didn't know: I started playing Township out of boredom. Broke my ankle, had surgery, couldn't go to the gym for 6 months. So much free time on my hands.

Now that I'm back in the gym, and work is busy as ever, I don't see myself investing more time getting into a new game.

I'm at Township Level 332, Match-3 Level 50250. There's nothing to play for anymore. Sure, a new community building every 2 versions.... but then what? I don't want more town signs or profile pics. I want something to look forward to; something that makes me go, "I WANT to get that!"

Spaceport is the last thing I truly want, and achieved. The Profile Pic of Betsy the cow from the Martian Odyssey Event is the only one I care for.

The story line of the expedition game is kinda neat, but it starts getting repetitive. Yes, I'm looking at you, Mason. Stop harassing Rachel. She's not interested in you.

Alright. I'm done ranting for now.

@Jamie2doyen Match-3 exists simply because that's the only steady source of income for Playrix. There are salaries to pay, servers/hosting to rent/subscribe, etc. Removing Match-3 means no more (significant) income, and Township will collapse within a week.

As long as people are playing expedition and picking match-3 regatta tasks, Playrix is safe.

Personally I doubt if zoo will be "undone". Imagine the chaos that will ensue. The messages from Playrix support explicit stated that the goal is to focus on "creating new content for your town, expedition and match-3."

@Sharai12 @Neighbor Jane @MaggieAkaEiggam Yes. According to multiple sources, including screenshots from Playrix Support, Zoo is being discontinued. Admin @Adarsh2019 has updated the wiki page as such. (Thanks!)

TBH I'm less and less interested in playing this game. It was fun, but now it's just a Candy Crush clone. Many of the decorations and distinct features are gone. I'm forced to do regattas against co-ops with a full house. The past few expeditions required stupid amount of energy points.

Looks like Playrix is trying really hard to cure my Township addition.

I'm slowing winding down my stuff here. I still have ~20k T-cash. I'll use them up and evaluate my next steps.

@Sharai12 @Neighbor Jane I still do a duo co-op with my baby town.

After Monday I saw the Top 1-2 had 3 people each. There was no hope catching them, so I rested my baby town and did 15 tasks for the rest of the week. Didn't even bother with the 16th task.

Currently in 5th. As long as I stay in gold I'm good. TBH playrix is actually losing money on me with the new rules.

Town Pass/Arctic Pass/Festive Pass (they are all the same thing) is a new model that replaces the Golden Ticket. As your wife discovered, it's solely based on match-3 games. My iPad baby town has it. Looks like it's a test group thing.

Pros: it doesn't depend on you going through the expedition to complete some of the tasks.

Cons: endless Match-3 games.

I suspect that has to do with land.

I wonder what's the rationale about having so few land expansions. An observation: decorations take up spaces. Lots of them. (Let's not even get to the 5x3 Central Park monstrosity.) Now that there are no more Regatta store, and the expedition hardly gives out new decos, players doesn't constantly need new land to place them.

However this give us even less incentive to finish the expeditions. TBH I still do it because I want to finish the Wiki page. I barely finished it on the last day with hardly any energy points left.

*shrugs* Playrix is trying really hard to make us leave or something.

@Ziyadelhawarry If you don't mind starting from the beginning, uninstall and reinstall the app. Confirm that you're okay to remove all the existing data. Once you're back, you should be able to start fresh. Ignore any prompt that you can go back to the old town.

Also you can have another Facebook account to connect to, so your new progress can be tracked.

@Llearmonth long story short, yes. There has been no merge-2 games for a few months now. Playrix's policy is to never public announce those things, but we can infer by the continuous expedition/match-3 puzzles, and all the "rewards" are geared towards the match-3 puzzles.
