@Neighbor Jane I’ve been playing 5 years (since Covid lockdown basically!) - at level 150 so no where near as far as you. I prob check in on the game once a day maybe now, but haven’t done a regatta in weeks as was always being pitched against teams with multiple players so no chance to progress. And just bored with the endless Smokey clearing games now. I’ve taken up online scrabble instead 😂

@Neighbor Jane I’ve still got my zoo, but everything is in storage just in case! I’ve pretty much stopped playing now though. Am now happily in wooden league 😂

@Neighbor Jane Yep it’s really another reason to not bother anymore with the regattas either now! I’m in a solo co op which is hard enough as it is and not sure I can be bothered to try and get back to golden league and try and stay there now :-/

I just find the game continues to get more boring and so far away from why I downloaded it. I don’t play as much so I don’t have as many coins anymore, so buying land expansions takes ages. And then when I do they take like 4 days now. Used to love arranging my town and making nice housing areas and buying the decorations etc. Or making new items in the factories etc. I could put up with the Match 3 if it lead to things to improve my town. Haven’t found another game I like though and feel I’ve invested so much time to just give up. They must be making enough money to ignore the mood music though as on social media you see everyone saying the same as us! But they continue to ignore it. So whatever they’re doing must be working financially for them…

@Neighbor Jane Yes the rewards are more match-3 game heavy unless you want to pay money - but I refuse to spend actual money anymore now on the game as just doesn’t seem worth it anymore sadly

@Neighbor Jane I’d started doing this too to use up ingots, I had got up to levels 20+ on the basic ones and assumed that I’d be nearly fully upgraded but seems not of some are level 50+ for a full upgrade!! Wow….

Such a shame, I’d seen comments on Facebook. Going to pop all the decorations I’ve paid for in storage just in case!

@Neighbor Jane Yes the decorations and new buildings/factories kept things interesting. I don’t even send planes anymore as always forget anyway when they took away the plane icon (like, why?!)

I can’t see things changing though and this going back to a town building game, when you look on Facebook everyone says the same thing- bring back old Township - but if anything it’s just come more about those exploring missions and the match 3 game. Still, it’s something to do while the adverts are on the TV 😂

@Neighbor Jane I miss all the decorations too, I really feel the whole point of the game (to build a cool town) has been lost. There’s rarely a new factory now or new goods to make, no new town decorations other than a sign which I’m not fussed about. I’ve stopped spending any actual money on the game now. For the regatta, I either just start on a Sunday and do the 15 tasks, or about an hour before the regatta is over and do one or two tasks and maintain my golden league status. That said this week I almost got demoted as I did my 15 tasks in my solo co op but was up against teams with full number of people playing so was lucky to survive as they all had 30000+ points….in one day ! A joke….

Thanks @PolarTown , not just me then. Seems like when you think they can’t make anymore annoying tweaks to the game for no reason (other than to make £££) they do…

I’ve just noticed this, it’s like they’re determined to make the game as miserable as possible! Hardly play now compared to a year ago

@Zelus1 I’ve been doing a mix, some weeks I do from the start, some weeks I just start Sunday and blitz the tasks in a day. Thats why I liked being in my solo co-op as I stayed in golden league and had no dramas, could play that week as I pleased. But now it’s just a waste of time really. I’ve seen other fellow solo racers dropping down the leagues too, all who used to be gold league only. It’s taken the fun out of it for sure now!
