*Unlike factories, the foundry can only make 1 ingot at a time and cannot be upgraded.
What is the Foundry?
**However, the Efficient Smelting booster reduces smelting time by 50%. To make use of the booster, have plenty of ores to use the foundries over 2 days.
Once you have restored the Mine (lvl 21) and started digging up various kind of ores, you will need the Foundry, to turn them into ingots (bars).

*If you have 5 of any ore in the warehouse you can create 1 ingot. Drag out the ingot you'd like to produce at the bottom. After the producing time, tap the foundry worker to collect it.

*If you don't have enough ores the number is shown in red meaning you have to buy or excavate more ores in the mine.

The Foundry can be bought in the "Special" section in Township Store. See Special Buildings. You can buy max. 2 Foundries. The first one when you have a population of 730 - the next when you have 920.

When you are inside the Foundry and you click on one of the ingots, you will see 3 numbers: 1 number below the ingot is telling you how many ingots you have in your barn. Above the ingot you see 2 numbers in the form of 18/5 where 18 is how many ore you have in stock in your warehouse (in the mine) and 5 is the number you need to make 1 ingot.

It could also be 3/5 and you would have to dig more in the mine. You will always need 5 ores to make an ingot.

When you have enough ores you can throw the ingot into the owen - and it will be made.

Many Township players ask how to move the ores from the mine to the barn. They CAN'T be moved :) The Foundry will take the ore from the Warehouse when you make ingots.
