Why should I have friends?
You need players to become friends to exchange gifts and help each other. You'll also get more boxes at the City Market, which will give you more stuff to buy.
Who can be friends?
Not everybody can currently be friends. There are different posibillities for different platforms.
How many friends can I have?
You can have 50 ingame friends, 150 Facebook friends and 200 Google+/Gamecenter friends but only 300 friends from social medias will show up in your game at a time. Your added friends can see you, even if you don't see them, if they didnt reach the limit of 300 friends.
Township Community friends
You can have up to 50 "ingame" Township Community friends. Tap the "Find Friends" tab and you will see some random players that you can invite if you wish. You can only have 10 pending requests at once. The "Envelope" tab will show which players you have invited - and also if somebody invited you. If somebody takes too long to answer you can cancel your request and invite other players.
If you want to remove some of your Township Community friends tap the X in the upper left corner of their picture. (You can't regret!) When you have reached 50 ingame friends you will get a message, that you have reached the limit.
Codes
You can generate a code to share with your friends. If they put your code into their Township game you will be friends. If you get codes from your friends, you can enter them also.Tap ENTER and enter the code.
Codes works between and iOS and Android. Windows Phone Players and Mac players can only add friends from the same platform.
NOTE: If you enter a code from a player on a not supported platform, you might see a player with that number which is compatible with your platform.
If you connect to Facebook in Township, friends playing Township on a supported platform will show up as friends in your game.
Invite more friends
Tab "Invite Friends" to open Facebook invite window. Tap the buttons and invite - or go to Facebook and add friends.
NOTE:
Currently, iOS and Android players can add both iOS and Android players as Facebook friends in Township - Windows Phone and Macplayers can only add players from their own platform.
Gamecenter/Google+
Android players connect to Google+ and iOS players connect to Gamecenter. If connect to one of them,Township players from your circles will show up ingame.
Invite more friends
Tap the green button to invite more people. Only supported platforms can be there.
If you want to remove friends from Facebook or Gamecenter/Google+, you have to unfriend them. That will automatically remove them from Township.
Interacting with friends
Gifts
Every 24 hours you can send 1 gift to each of 5 friends or random players.Other players can also send gifts to you. If you have got gifts you will see them hanging in balloons with the sender's pictures on them flying over your Township. Tap the balloons to get your gifts.
Visiting and helping your friend's Townships
Open the "Friends" tab. Be sure that your Township game is connected to Google+ and/or Facebook, to see your friends from there. If some of your Facebook friends are already playing Township, they will automatically show up on your friends list. Tap their pictures to visit them. You can also visit the random players on the "Find Friends" tab - or everybody else, that are shown on different lists (airplane, event etc.) The random player list is updated every 5 hours.
If players need help they will be shown with a exclamation mark. When you enter your town you will see a handshaking (help-request) sign over their airport or railroad station.
If you help friends or random players filling their crates and railcars, you will get the price/exp/wings shown and if you have built House of Luck, you will receive a thank-you letter in your Town Hall mailbox There will be a four-leaf clover inside the letter, which can be used in House of Luck.
To see which friends need help, open the tab with an exclamation mark in the Friends-window.
If you have asked for and got help from your friends a thank-you letter will automatically be sent to them when you tap their picture.
How many friends do I have?
Go to Townhall in Township and look at your achievements. Find the achievement: Urbanist Club which says: Have 75 friends and see your number of friends.
