  • I know it sounds ridiculous, but has anyone tracked their chest results?  I've only been playing for 3 or 4 weeks and I've played the HoL many, many times and I ALWAYS choose the middle chest .... and I always get crap.  Seriously, I think I've gotten cash twice and neither were very high.

Anyone do a scientific approach to this?  Perhaps the game picks low odds for the most selected chests?  Any opinons?

    EDIT: spelling error

    • I think it's random, but there's times I'm not so sure. There's a possibility that the rewards aren't random, and what you get is fixed even before picking a chest. Either way there's no real strategy to it because you can never know what's behind each chest. Every round you pick something all the rewards are "shuffled" or it may seem shuffled when you're actually getting a fixed reward. It's hard to say if it's random or not.

I used to pick middle and bottom right and alternated. Sometimes I get cash 2x in a row and sometimes nothing for 7+ tries. The cash seems to know where to hide a lot of the time, and it doesn't seem to follow any pattern.

      This is my theory...
It gives you a fixed prize that follows an algorithm that has some kind of %luck value for receiving cash. Each time you pick a chest with no cash, the %luck value slightly increases until you get cash and it resets. Sometimes you can get lucky and hit that lucky %chance multiple times before the %luck value increases at all, but other times you might get nothing until it raises to a higher amount.

If that's not the case then the other likely option is that each prize has a certain %value up to a max of say 80%. The big cash value like 15/20 could be lower %s like 1% for 20 cash and 2% for 15 cash, etc. while gold is maybe 30% and goods are maybe 50%. Some kind of %value or weight for each prize where the %cash values increase until you hit one of them as a prize then it resets.

    • I agree that its probably a fixed prize because I play another game by the same developer (fishdom) that has a daily prize pick with the same format as HoL and I get the lowest value prizes almost every day. And too, I think in a more abstract sense it simulates a casino in the town, and when you get the wild card pick screen on a slot machine...those moments are totally fixed...the "house" always wins!

    • I win a lot of coins, Tcash and other good products at the HOL. The key here is: help, help, help. I go to the HOL when I have acquired 50 clovers, once or twice a day. Again, the key is to help others as much as possible... you will be helping yourself as well as developing a strong network of people who will help you in return. I am always trying to figure out a pattern to where "the good stuff" is when I go. But when it comes down to it...there really is no pattern. It is all guesswork.  :)

    • Thanks for the replies. I posted this question shortly after I started playing and it just felt like I was being very unlucky, which I was. I've since had much better luck at the HoL. I also move around when I pick chests (I don't stay on the same one anymore). I got spooked into believing the programmers punish for that.  :-P

    • I look at the results and pick the worst spot from the last try.  In my mind, the odds of one spot being the worst twice in a row is lower then average.  It seems to help my odds.  Either way, it gives me a stratigy for picking chests :)

yeah, save up 50 in the HOL, and 50 in your clover storage, then collect from the storage once the HOL is empty. make sure that the HOL is completely free of clovers before collecting, or you'll end up losing some clovas

    • I have good luck with getting cash. I look where the cash ends up and then on the next try I go ajasent to that. Usually the left corners hit it. It seems random but it favors the left corners

You can save 50 clovers in HOL and 100 max in the town hall. If you use all the ones at HOL and then collect more from town hall, it will only transfer 50 and the other 50 will still be there waiting for you at the hall. You won't lose any unless you are still helping people when you have a total of 150 already saved at both locations.
