It's a matter of time....u just have to wait till the new update is available to you. I am having the same problem.
What? Why isn't update available for everyone? It's been days already. Sick of not having ccess to friends accounts. When do we ALL get "updated version"?
You'll have to wait until the app store for your specific version of Township gets the update.
There's currently 5 different versions of Township.
(1) Android and (2) iOS which share the same Township server for all Township mobile users, but have different app stores (Google Play for Android, and Apple App Store for iOS). iOS got the update first on Jan.9 then Android on Jan.10.
(3) Kindle also shares the same server as Android and iOS, but uses the Amazon App Store which is also different from the others. Apparently Kindle is a bit behind and hasn't got the update yet.
All the App Stores have different approval processes for updating the apps on their app stores and some may take longer than others. Also each game uses different code so it may take more time to update some versions.
(4) Windows is on the Microsoft App Store which is it's own separate Township server. It's specifically for PC users and isn't connected to any other versions of Township. Another thing to note is this specific version takes longer to update and is currently about about a month behind on updates.
(5) Mac is the last version of Township which is on the Mac App Store, and also on a separate Township server for Mac users. It's not connected with any other versions of Township, and is also behind on updates by a little over 7 days / 1 week.
From what I understand iOS gets the update first, then Android next (1 day+ later), then Kindle (1-2+ days later), then Mac (7 days+ later), and lastly Windows (30 days+ later).
Has the update for Android been released? If it has, where do I access the update because I can't find it anywhere.
Hi off topic but I’m trying to post a question and it isn’t allowing me? I’m trying to ask: My daughter is playing Township on her iPad. My appleid is used on there. I would like to play on my phone which is linked to my appleid too. I downloaded the game and it opendes with her town. Is there a way I can start my own game on my phone and she continues her game on her iPad?

Check the Google Play Store for the Township Update. Go to My Apps and Games or search Township and it should give you the option to update since it was released on Android on Jan.10
If you're on a Kindle the update has already been submitted to the Amazon App Store, but it hasn't been approved yet. They might update all apps on a specific day of the week, running behind schedule from many app updates, or that they have a longer approval process, so you just have to be patient until it's approved.

Hi, I think if you want to start a new town you have to use a different apple ID from the one on the iPad. It will keep detecting the old town, and if you start a new town using that ID it might erase the old one.
Also another thing is that the 2 towns should be connected using 2 different Facebook accounts if you ever want to transfer a town to a new device.
