  • If you restrict a player while the regatta is going does the coop lose those points, or just not gain anymore since that player is no longer racing. I understand there will be one less member racing, I just want to know if the points collected so far will be lost. I don’t want to give rewards to a member with very very few tasks completed when others were considerate and opted out because they couldn’t make a good show and complete all tasks. Thank you in advance

    • As I understand, you don't lose the points that member won.

    • How can i remove a Coop Member from the Regatta?

    • If you are a (co)-leader you can tap their name in the co-op building and select „Restrict from regatta“. Remember that only works during seasonal regattas, not during interseasonal regatta week (like this week for Android/iOS/Kindle.

The player will have to opt back in in their settings. You won’t be able to do that for them.

I just wanted to mention that it is possible to restrict a player from participating in the interseasonal regatta. It's true that the player's own settings, as far as whether or not they are opted IN to seasonal regatta do not apply during interseasonal (iow- a player does not opt out of interseasonal regatta via their settings... during IS regatta the way to opt out is simply not to take tasks.).  However, if a leader or co-leader restricts them, even during IS, when the player goes to the regatta window, they will see a message stating that they were restricted and therefore cannot race for the remainder of the week, & there's a countdown to when the new regatta week will begin. There is also a directive to opt back in thru settings in order to race again in future regattas.  The task board is not visible to the player, and they can't even see how many chests they had earned before being restricted.

At this time, it remains to be seen if the player will be able to collect their loot from the chests they had earned before being restricted.  This info comes first hand from my own experiment, conducted earlier today: with his permission, once my husband had finished all the chests he was allowed, I restricted him. The result was what I described above. He is being a very good sport about it, seeing as it may have essentially negated his rewards from his earned chests.  Poor guy ends up being my co-op guinea pig all the time, so I can test out things as a leader. And he's always a great sport about it.

    • Hadn't heard of the possibility to restrict a player from Interseasonal, amazing, and thanks for posting it! (what does BBM mean?)

I would have expected that it works for the next (seasonal) regatta, as Playrix once said in their forum, the racing symbol in the Coop window for Interseasonal (set by Playrix anyway)  would be "visual only".

Thanks to your husband as well! Fingers crossed he will not loose his chests! pls let us know :)

    • BBM= bolded by me... sorry, most forums nowadays seem to use this.

So the racing symbol is there for everyone who isn't restricted, even if they are opted out of seasonal play.

The "restriction" stays in place indefinitely, in that the person remains opted out until they change it back in their settings.  I wish there was a way for a leader to start each new seasonal regatta restricting everyone, to force them to make a conscious decision to opt in, thus agreeing to the co-op's minimum task requirements.  Unfortunately, if you try to restrict on Monday before the regatta begins, it asks: restrict for the UPCOMING regatta... and the member cannot opt back in for that week, even if they do it before the regatta starts. And if you restrict them before the previous regatta ends, then they lose their rewards.  So for now, I just send out a co-op message on Sunday before IS ends, that outlines the expectations for the upcoming regatta.

I'm still waiting to hear if there'll be any resolution of the issue for my hubby, but I'll definitely come back & update.

    • aww, if you need a solution for your DH, it means he didn't get his chests yet...?

and THX for the BBM-explanation! hadn't seen it before, and as  you say "nowadays use it", then I'm obviously too old, or the forums I visit since decades... lol. ;)
