  • I am currently part of a co op that is not doing so well with the Regatta so am planning to join another co op. If I move co op, would my regatta points transfer to the new co op?

      Loading editor
    • I moved coop after the regatta, so not exactly know the answer. But new members joing a team that already started regatta, they could not race in the middle of the regatta.

That is where you drop out of the Regatta. Each co-op races against other co-ops of the same size. If you don't want to participate in the Regatta you need to uncheck that box at the start of each Regatta. Otherwise, you will be counted and your co-op will compete with other teams that have the same number of co-op members. It does your co-op a disservice if you keep that box checked but do not help out in the Regatta since there will really be one less person (you) helping out against other teams that do have that extra person helping out.

    • What if a member opts out 2 days after the regatta begins.  This will count against our team because we will be less that person's point total.  Is this correct?

That person would still have their points count towards the team total, but would lose their own rewards they worked for. So, the team would feel the loss with them not doing any more tasks, but that person really feels the consequences of that action by losing their rewards for that week.

    • What if you have one person that is doing the regatta but is not fast enough to finish task? Does that take away more points? For example I have 3 members in my coop including me... Well we have one that picks task that she cannot complete... Will that effect us bad

Yes. It is better that she opts out of the Regatta for that week for the sake of your co-op score or learns how to just take tasks she knows she can finish BEFORE taking the task. She can prepare ahead of time for some Regatta tasks, like making sure she has enough feed on shelves for feeding tasks or accumulating lots  (around80 picks, 40 stick and box dynamite) of mining supplies to do the mining task quick.

Opting out in the middle of a race that you are already in only changes your participation status for the next race/Regatta. You won't forefeit your points or rewards for that week you're racing.

Also there was an update recently that changed it so the game doesn't opt you in automatically anymore. If you opt out now you won't be racing until you change your Regatta Participation status again.

For some tips or answers to questions about regatta you can check out the Regatta page for a detailed summary of Regatta or the Official Regatta FAQ for more specific topics on Regattas.

You can use the market, but it won't count as items towards any task in regatta. The items have to be either harvested or produced from the fields or factories.

You can use the market to buy things - just not things like dairy produce that has to be collected from the animals but yes you can use it to buy items for your planes and trains etc.

You can only join the Regatta if you've opted in before it starts that week. If you opt in while a race is going on it will apply for the following week/regatta.

    • What effect does dumping have? Is it better to dump easy tasks to get harder tasks?

It depends what the goal and how competitive your co-op is. Either if your co-op aims to reach the top 200 and stay there, or placing 1st in most races.

Dumping is mainly to refresh a lower point or difficult task with one that's higher points and/or easier (difficulty based on the time it takes to complete the task). In most cases it's best to dump any task that isn't worth 135 points rather than dumping 'easy' or 'hard' tasks.

If your co-op is aiming for the top 200 that means 135 tasks only, and doing hard tasks is a must since it's costly to refresh for more 135 tasks with the dumping penalty. Lowering the amount of dumped tasks is the only way to improve the leaderboards score with a perfect 135 + extra task full co-op (especially if they are racing with the max 30 members).

If your co-op is aiming for 1st in races that means 125-135 point tasks (range can be vary depending on what your co-op prefers and how competitive other co-ops are in that weeks race), and doing hard tasks is optional. Doing higher point tasks is key in some races depending on how competitive other co-ops are. In some cases missing out on a single 135 point task can cost your co-op a 1st place position in the race.

Yes as long as a member is opted in they will receive rewards from regattas. If they aren't participating it's up to you or other members to communicate with them, or kick if they aren't active or completing enough tasks.

You can leave your co-op anytime. If there are other members, the next in rank becomes leader. If you were the last/only member, the co-op ceases to exist.

    • A member mistakenly restricted me from regatta task, is it possible to have it revoked. It says I can't participate until the next regatta season. It really sucks.

    • There is no way to unrestrict players from the regatta. You will just have to wait until next week and remember to opt-in through your game settings.

No. You will have to wait for the next regatta.
